The Medina family has shaped a new tradition. For three generations, the family has owned and operated La Colina Farm in southern Guatemala. In the 1950s, corn and other crops were cultivated in the soil. Just over a decade ago, they shifted their focus to coffee. The land itself provided an essential prerequisite for producing exceptional beans—and the family created another, investing in equipment that gave them full control over how and when their crop is processed. Old-growth pines and cypress trees grow alongside coffee plants in a landscape irrigated with freshwater streams. Ripe cherries are fully washed and slowly dried on patios heated by the sun. Every step of the journey is met with care and an unwavering commitment to quality. This coffee delights the senses with floral aromas and notes of red currant.
