This coffee is a mythic story of place. Sourced from Gigante in southern Huila, this lot hails from the renowned coffee-producing region—a land of unique microclimate and high altitude located between the Magdalena River and the Andes. It’s a story of pride: high-quality beans were selected from a small group of local farmers who named this coffee Matambo Woods, after the natural reserve Cerro Matambo, which looks like a sleeping giant. It’s a story of beauty and romance: the giant warrior Matambo, mesmerized by an ancient queen’s beauty, valiantly battled for their love. Like the legendary story, here we bring you a passionate, courageous cup from this well-known region. A coffee of lovely aromatic florals and the juicy sweetness of red plum.
